All planning applications relating to our parish must satisfy the strategic policies stipulated in the East Riding Local Plan for 2012 to 2029, which allows development in Harpham within the boundary shown below, but disfavours new build in Lowthorpe and Ruston Parva as they are considered to be open countryside and unsustainable.
