Public Rights of Way

Since the Covid-19 lockdown we have seen an increase in the number of people using the public rights of way network for walking, cycling and riding in our Parish. This has been good to see and we hope that those new to outdoor recreation will recognise the positive impacts these activities can have on physical and mental health and well-being and will continue in the long term.

The increased use of public rights of way has however highlighted some issues, a key one being a general lack of understanding about the different types of rights of way and where people can or cannot cycle. In light of this the Local Authority has produced this brief guide to public rights of way, to help users identify appropriate routes to walk or cycle.
